The premise

Farm Out Loud is a new print quarterly for independent farms selling directly to their communities.

We’re interested in the things farmers usually talk about with other farmers: what’s working, what isn’t, what changed, what it costs, what they’re trying next, and what they’ve decided to quit.

Less polished marketing.
More useful transparency.

What’s inside Issue 001

January 2027 — What Are You Changing This Year?

The founding issue will be mailed free to approximately 2,000 selected direct-market farms.

  1. Five Farms, Five Changes for 2027
  2. Should You Add Another Pickup Location?
  3. The January Farm Marketing Calendar
  4. The Numbers to Know Before You Grow
  5. What We Quit Doing

Why Farm Out Loud?

Farming has always advanced by people comparing notes.

In an era when polished content is increasingly cheap, firsthand experience becomes more valuable: actual numbers, actual mistakes, actual experiments, actual farms.

Farm Out Loud exists to make more of that visible.
